DARK CARNIVAL  (2001)

Over 50 years out of print this limited release of Bradbury's first published book, with supplemental material edited by long-time Bradbury bibliographer Donn Albright.

The cover art is a Bradbury oil painting from Albright’s personal collection, painted by Bradbury around the time of the original publication of Dark Carnival, in 1947. These extras include five additional short stories which were originally published in Weird Tales and considered for publication in the original edition. These include:

  • The Watchers
  • The Poems
  • Bang, You’re Dead
  • The Seashells

This edition also includes Bradbury’s original proposal for Dark Carnival, his handwritten notes for a proposed ballet, the cover art for the original US and UK editions, and story notes.
